ISO 17025 accreditation

The Forensic Regulator, Mr Andrew Rennison, visited MD5 head office on Wednesday 5th January. The visit followed MD5 becoming ISO 17025 accredited for the forensic data capture of computers and computer related data storage devices. This accreditation is in addition to ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 already achieved by MD5. After receiving a tour of the building, including the secure forensic laboratory, Mr Rennison added the following: "demonstrating quality is vitally important and I congratulate MD5 in achieving ISO 17025 accreditation".

iPhone passcode recovery

MD5 are now able to recover passcodes in plain text from all iPhones regardless of firmware version running; including the latest iOS 4.3.3.

In addition to being able to bypass the security, this also allows our investigators to decrypt and extract all handset data - including contacts, calls, SMS, MMS, media & emails.

Salvation data training

MD5 have further invested in their data recovery solution by sending an expert on the recent advanced data recovery training with Salvation Data in Chengdu, China. This is in addition to previous product specific training attended in Washington, USA, in April. The training included advanced recovery work on servers and physical repair of drives.
